Alert Correlation

Alert correlation is the process of grouping related alert events into a single, high-level incident.

AIOps alert correlation identifies related alert events and groups them together into clusters. Alerts in the clusters are enriched with rich context, enabling better correlation and making it easy for an IT engineer to identify the underlying problem.

Recently resolved alert clusters also can be used for correlation. You can do the settings from Correlation Setting Screen.

Key features of Smartops AIOps alert correlation

  • Better detection of issues - During outages, huge volumes of alerts are clustered intelligently, so that the critical alerts stand out from the noise and thus the focus remains on the main issue.
  • Faster resolution – As similar alerts are clustered intelligently, the full context is available for an IT engineer for quick and accurate analysis and resolution.
  • Increased productivity – Correlation reduces the number of tickets to be handled, thereby improving the ability of IT team to effectively manage emergency situations.
  • Customizable – AIOps allows to customize its correlation policies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
